VideoStitch Studio and Vahana VR rely on your hardware to provide you with the fastest stitching possible.
Hardware is not created equal for stitching purposes. We will explain here how you can make sure your hardware can handle the load needed to get the most out of our software suite.

VideoStitch Studio benchmarking
First, make sure your computer respects VideoStitch Studio hardware requirements
The easiest way to benchmark your hardware for VideoStitch Studio is to download a sample project and test several output resolutions to see which resolutions your system can handle.

Please note that the number of inputs and their resolution will impact your system capacity to handle the load. Your system might be able to handle six 1920*1080 inputs but not six 3840*2160 inputs even if the output resolution is the same.

Vahana VR benchmarking
First, make sure your graphics card respects Vahana VR hardware requirements
You can use procedural inputs to benchmark your graphics card performances:
- Create a new project
- Select procedural inputs
The number of procedural inputs you chose should be the same number of camera you plan on using.
We recommend using a calibration template, to better emulate the layout of your camera rig.
Your hardware should be able to get to 60fps.
We recommend measuring while being in the Panorama or Interactive tab. Displaying all sources consumes more graphics power than displaying the stitched result.
If your configuration is not able to handle the procedural inputs it will not be able to handle a complete workflow.
Capture cards/motherboard benchmarking:
To efficiently benchmark your configuration you will need to simulate the full workflow you're targeting.
Use the same capture cards, PC configuration, and output, only without the cameras. Then create a project and select your inputs
Use a template of your rig to create the camera layout
Wait for the stitching framerate to stabilize and check the average fps
If your graphics card can successfully stitch 60fps with procedural inputs but can not stitch to the desired framerate with the complete input workflow, there might be a bottleneck in your workflow.
It could be between your motherboard and GPU (for example your graphic or capture cards are not plugged in the right PCIe slot).
In this case, you can permute some of your components in the motherboard and benchmark again.
