What are the supported input video formats and codecs

Supported input format

VideoStitch Studio currently supports the following video containers:

mov, mkv, avi, mp4, wmv, mpg, mpeg, mp2, m4v, 3gp, ogv, ogg

Supported input codecs

VideoStitch Studio supports FFmpeg supported codecs as long as the input video is YUV420 in planar format.

It also supports H265 and Prores.

If unsure about your codec being supported, simply drag and drop a video into VideoStitch Studio and it will show a warning if the format is unsupported.

More video formats will be available in future releases.

For an optimal experience, we recommend to use 'gop-less' codecs that have Intra coded frames only. This can be achieved by setting the GOP or 'keyframe distance' of your encoder to 1. You will find that VideoStitch Studio is then extremely responsive when seeking frames in these files.

    Hello,

At the moment we do not provide an sdk.

Could you let me know more about your use case, what you would like to do and what you would be interested in getting from us?

Hey, I'm trying out VideoStitch Studio for a setup using 4 GoPro Hero4 Session. I cannot get the software to correctly read my videos. The files straight out of the camera are rejected because of the audio sample rate, but when I convert them with ffmpeg there is no error message, but both the preview and the rendered files are black, with no audio. What should I do?
